Hi AI Break family ๐Ÿ‘‹, today we have something new.

In this extra issue, we will be teaching you how to get the most out of ChatGPT and other platforms like Claude and Perplexity using our Prompt Framework.

Letโ€™s go! ๐Ÿš€

(3-minute coffee breakโ˜•)

What is prompting and why is important ๐ŸŒŽ

Prompting refers to the process of providing specific instructions, questions, or cues to an AI model, such as ChatGPT, to guide its response. The quality and clarity of these prompts significantly affect the accuracy and relevance of the AI's output.

Frameworks

Our favourite framework ๐Ÿ˜€:

  1. Role: Assign a role or perspective for ChatGPT to adopt in its response.

  2. Task: Define the task or objective clearly.

  3. Context: Provide the necessary background or setting for the prompt.

  4. Structure: Provide the desire output structure

  5. Tone: Add a tone of voice if you like

  6. Examples: Provide specific instances or samples related to the prompt.

Other prompt frameworks:

  1. TRACE Framework: Task, Request, Action, Context, Examples

  2. RTF Framework: Role, Task and Format

  3. APE Framework: Action, Purpose and Expectation

  4. CLEAR Framework: Concise, Logical, Explicit, Adaptive, Reflective

These frameworks provide structured approaches to crafting prompts for ChatGPT, enhancing the clarity, specificity, and effectiveness of interactions with the AI model.

Example ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Email Outreach Prompt:

Role: Act like an experienced sales person. Create a personalized outreach email using the AIDA model based on the prospect and my product/service information below. IMPORTANT: Make the email shorter and use paragraphs to be easier to read.

Context: Iโ€™m reaching out to potential prospects in order to get them on a demo call to try our [Product/Service].

Structure: The AIDA model stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action. It's a proven framework for writing persuasive content. Do not specify the different steps of the AIDA model, just write the final email. The focus is on brevity, aiming for emails no longer than 1 paragraph, with a personalized opening line based on the prospect company information.

Tone: Casual and engaging.

Here are a few examples of good intros (please consider them in your output):

Example 1= Impressed with the wide range of resources available on SermonAudio, especially the weekly dose of personal thoughts and interesting content updates

Example 2= Long story short, I was reading about GymX and I just wanted to say, I'm impressed by your personal experience on maintaining weight loss and the simple yet effective tips you share with your readers.

Prospect information: [Details about the prospect company, including what they do, their values, and any specific features or services they offer that are relevant to your product/service.]

My product information: [Details about your product/service, including key functionalities, target audience, and the unique value it offers. Highlight how it can solve problems or enhance the prospect's current processes.]

Final Tip

Donโ€™t forget you can keep chatting with the model (ChatGPT or other) to improve your output like: โ€œmake it funnierโ€
